Materials: Fired Clay

Dimensions: 17 inches tall

I fell in love with Charles Cordier's bronze "African Venus" at the Walter's Museum in Baltimore.
Her proud and dignified expression is mesmerizing.

My wide angled photos of the work was poor reference for a 3D study. Not happy where this attempt was going, I added a head wrap, sliced off the back of the head (in order to hang it on the wall) and called it a day.

Venus 2 was my second attempt.
