My Clients were redoing their kitchen cabinets, countertops and backsplash. They wanted a special focal point above the stove. When I first saw the room, all the main elements were complete except for the walls. This gave me a good idea of what their tastes where and the overall feel they were after.

The home is nestled amongst mangroves on the water and has an abundance of wildlife as neighbors. The homeowners' love and respect for the wildlife is evident in all the stories they have to tell of their daily animal sightings. Passing dolphins and manatees are a regular treat.

Though glass might seem like the most practical material above the stove, marble was chosen for its warmth and aged feel. Special care was taken so the finished mosaic is durable, sealed against staining and completely scrub-able.
