A
commission from a friend to make an image to keep the sailor
in her happy during the cold winters in her Rhode Island
home.
Originally
this was supposed to be an image in her backsplash above
her sink ... a window to where she would rather be when
doing the dishes. Due to the limited space and Dianne's
wish to take her window with her whenever she moves, the
idea had the freedom to expand and become a large decorative
piece to be hung on the wall.
The
sense of freedom and endless space the ocean gives was
the inspiration. The movement of the water vs the serenety
of the clear skies, the perfect combination for a day of
sailing.
